What a great find. If you are hungry in the morning, head over to haymarket area (Chinatown, Korean town and Thai town) and stores are open and there are choices.
I saved this Vietnamese restaurant in my Yelp and Trip advisor account. This Vietnamese restaurant is a things up. The bun bo hue (spicy beef noodle soup) had the right vegetables and the soup was flavorful. You can ask for free hot tea. -

I completely agree with others, that this is a great no-frills place for excellent pho!! For those from out of town, some of the pictures seem to be of a different location; the one on George street is a store front, not in a mall, and isn't anywhere near as fancy as some of the pictures.
We all had the cooked beef pho which was perfect for the somewhat chilly, damp day outside. The broth is made in house per the story on the wall, and based on what I tasted, I tend to believe them! The portions are as huge as others have described, so I really doubt anyone will leave hungry! We also had some of the spring rolls which were good as well, but the pho is the star!
One slightly quirky thing; instead of extra plates for appetizers that will be shared (such as spring rolls), and instead of paper napkins or paper towels, they put boxes of kleenex on each table. At first I thought the kleenex was for runny noses from warm, spicy dishes, but it became apparent that this was to be a multi-purpose box of tissues. My advice...do NOT put a springroll on a tissue unless you'd like to eat tissue with your springrolls! Might not be a bad idea to bring some paper towels or napkins from elsewhere when dining here. -

Largest mediocre pho I've had. I got the make our won combo , crispy chicken and rice noodle. While the chicken was crispy and flavorful it was a bit on the cool side, obviously precooked, chilled and fried. The soup was bland and probably just canned stock with bits of onion, no other aromatics. Was definitely missing the anise and cinnamon flavor I'm used to, could also use more greens.

Been in Sydney only for one full day and missed the Los Angeles Vietnamese food. Had to stop by Chinatown in Sydney to try the highest rated Vietnamese restaurant and found it to be good but not great like Los Angeles, CA. However, this place will do. I had the Pho and my wife had he wonton soup and both are ok.
In any Asian establishment, never expect great service and this location is one of them.
It is busy during the lunch rush and it could be a 15-20 mins wait if you have time.
Would give it between 2-3 stars if this restaurant is in LA. Would not recommend going out of your way to stop by here, however, if you are walking distance and walk pass this site, stop by. -

Amazing!!! Great price, great help. Fresh ingredients. Fresh condiments. Great coffee & tea. The bun bo hue dac biet was super good and they even offered to make it less spicy but it was perfect with a nice cold one. The staff showed us how to properly eat and very politely waited to see if my friend and I needed any further assistance. Authentic food from my Vietnam experience.
